The design of the stage has a multi-functional environment that can be enclosed to form an interactive
sculpture when not in use. Projections displayed on the flexible metal skin create an ephemeral object
within the park, one that can change according to the seasons and lighting conditions. During
performance events, the skin draws back to reveal the concrete stage structure within.
LDA was responsible for the design of the structural components of this unique project. We prepared
contract working drawings and specifications as well as provided construction phase services and
certification.
