This 25,000 sqft school is located in Poplar Hill First Nation, ON. The new school is a the focal point for
the community serving as an education centre as well as a hub for a wide range of education activities.
It has been designed to be a safe place that reflects and celebrates the first nation’s cultures and
traditions. It includes classrooms, a library, a science room, a gymnasium, shops, a home economics
room, washrooms and administrative offices.

LDA was responsible for the structural design and preparation of the contract working drawings and
specifications for the foundations and superstructure of the school building. We also provided
construction phase services including job site inspections/visits, review and approval of the structural
shop drawings, responding to queries and certifying the construction upon completion.
